With over 30 years of hands-on industry experience, Mark & Janine lead Slocombe Excavations with a clear focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Mark’s journey began on the Mornington Peninsula, where he built a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and precision across all types of excavation work.
Guided by strong family values, he ensures every project is delivered with transparency and integrity. From residential developments to complex civil contracts, his leadership has shaped a business known for its dependable service and lasting results. Today, his vision continues to drive the team — combining expertise, local knowledge, and a commitment to doing every job right the first time.

Jake Legg
Our Experts
Jake has been a vital team member of Slocombe Excavations for over 18 years, he is the brains behind the civil and drainage works and takes much pride in tailoring quotes to suit his clients. He manages our larger projects onsite and in a hands on capacity. Jake also works with all things horse arenas, driveways, landscaping and excavation works; he has exceptional communication skills with clients to treat their projects like his own. Jake shows initiative takes pride in his work practises and is meticulous in ensuring the job is completed accurately.
Cayne Parker
Our Experts
Cayne is known for his approachable style and strong work ethic; his hands-on leadership ensures all clients receive constant communication, advice and exceptional works for the duration of their projects.
While managing the demolition side of the business, Cayne also issues all daily schedules, liaises with truck drivers, operators and clients. He is happy to assist in the workshop utilising his previous mechanical experience and will jump in a machine or truck to help whenever is required.
Neil Slocombe
Our Experts
Neil has bought both technical expertise as a qualified diesel mechanic and a personal passion as a machine operator to Slocombe Excavations for over 13 years. He is an experienced operator and will transform client vision to life, while offering advice from his vast knowledge of ground conditions in the area.
Having been bought up around the business, Neil is familiar of what is involved behind the scenes and is happy to jump in and assist in all facets.
Steven Hosking
Our Experts
Steve joined Slocombe Excavation with a vast knowledge in Arboriculture; he has over 25 years of hands on experience and expertise. Steve has Certificate 5 in Arboriculture; and he manages and supervises these areas within Slocombe Excavations.
His precise and safety conscious nature is well respected by all who work with him. Steve’s knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail is an asset to our team and daily operations.
Katie Parker
Our Experts
Katie began her career with Slocombe Excavations in 2017 having seen the business evolve; she manages the administrative team and oversees daily office operations. This includes data reconciliation, data entry, accounts receivable & payable, quoting, day to day business enquiries and the safety aspects of running a business. Aided by the office crew behind the scenes we work as a team to ensure everything continues running smoothly.
